CodiKrome is the first voice CJ ever built. He came out of an experiment in 2025 — CJ fed old lyrics into Suno just to see what would happen, and country came back. The country he didn't know he had in him. CodiKrome was the name he gave it.
The Country Slopstar lives in the gap between honky-tonk and confession. Every song is half a story you've heard before and half something you didn't see coming. The melodies are familiar. The truths underneath them are not.
In August 2025, CodiKrome released the full-length album Mama Didn't Raise No Quitter — 15 tracks of southern grit and lyrical soul. It earned over 20,000 streams. "Matt's Song," written for CJ's best friend Matt who passed in 2001, came in second place at a music video contest.
Released alongside the album was CJ's novel CodiKrome: The Words Are What Matter — a paired multimedia work, with QR codes embedded throughout the book linking back to the soundtrack. The novel follows Erick Odom (an anagram for CodiKrome) through a story of music, family, mortality, and the dream of becoming a working songwriter. It's not CJ's biography. It's fiction set in the world this music opened up.
What started as CodiKrome eventually expanded — Krome Theory, Riffy Waters, Bubba Moh, Kairo Miles. But CodiKrome is still the voice CJ reaches for when a lyric refuses to be quiet.
CodiKrome's debut LP. Fifteen tracks of southern grit, lyrical soul, and the kind of country songs that earn their place in someone's worst week. Released August 2025 under CJ Tuttle Records.
The album that started the whole project. Over 20,000 streams to date, and "Matt's Song" — written for CJ's best friend who passed in 2001 — took second place at a music video contest.
